I qualified in 1982 as a State Registered Nurse from Medway School of Nursing. I predominantly worked at Medway Accident Centre until my move to the community in September 1994 as a staff nurse for Medway's school health service.
I undertook my Diploma and then my Specialist Community Public Health Nurse degree/school nurse in 2001-2002 with Canterbury Christ Church. Following completion of my degree I achieved a Team Leader post in School Nursing.
In 2007 I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Education to enable me to fulfil my role as practice teacher. I continue to be in practice 4 days a week and for the other day I am on a secondment opportunity to the Specialist Community Public Health Team as School Nurse lead
