Jo joined Canterbury Christ Church in March 2007 as a Lecturer Practitioner and then accepted the opportunity to become a full time lecturer in Sept 2007. Previously Jo had worked in London within the acute sector and has gained clinical expertise within the elderly, medical and rehabilitation environment. She also developed both leadership and management skills as ward sister and manager.
After moving to Kent Jo decided to change career direction and work in community nursing where she achieved her specialist community practitioner degree in District Nursing and became a district nursing sister/case manager developing a particular interest and passion for primary care.
Since joining the University Jo has developed her interests in relation to mentorship and chronic disease management specifically within primary care and worked both with pre and post registered nurses. She is currently undertaking her post graduate certificate of learning and teaching and looks forward to a fulfilling and satisfying career within the University.
