The Department supports a growing body of research and scholarship work focused on innovating and transforming services, organisations, and patient care through practice development initiatives.

We support PhD programmes and many staff with Doctorates are recognised experts in their field. Our key research and scholarship work currently covers the following themes:

We work closely with the England Centre for Practice Development, the Faculty Centre for Health and Social Care Research, the Dementia Services Development Centre, the Sydney De Haan Centre for Arts and Health and the Centre for Research into Children, Families and Communities and a range of international partners to facilitate the exploration of advancing professional knowledge and practice.
