Our department is a vibrant and dynamic community of academics and practitioners offering courses in Adult Nursing, Community Health, and applied clinical specialisms. We offer opportunities for nurses to plan their career pathway from a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner all the way to a Consultant Nurse and beyond in hospital, community and social care settings. We are committed to working with specialist and advanced practitioners to enhance nursing knowledge, skills, research and scholarship to shape the workforce of the future. Our staff are well respected for their clinical, academic and leadership roles at national and international level and we have strong collaborative links with Universities throughout Europe where we are busy influencing the future standards of nurse education. We are committed to the development of practice and service improvement and have a body of experts engaged in practice development work.
