Interpretation of diagnostic imaging examinations is a key skill for many healthcare practitioners and has a significant impact on service delivery.
Recent guidelines from the College of Radiographers (UK) recommend that the findings of all diagnostic imaging examinations need to be reported timely and accurately to influence clinical management effectively.
This University was the first in the world to develop and offer accredited postgraduate clinical reporting programmes and several educational opportunities are now offered to assist practitioners in realising these aims in providing high quality imaging services.
Our initial image interpretation courses aim to prepare practitioners to provide an immediate comment on a radiographic image typically in the trauma setting.
Our accredited postgraduate programmes are designed to prepare practitioners responsible for providing final (definitive) reports for a range of referrers.
The programme team are actively involved in research in this field. Research in Clinical Reporting |- publications and presentations.
