MSc Advanced Practice (Occupational Therapy)

If you are at the stage in your career when you need:

  • to extend your professional development,
  • to develop higher critical thinking about occupational therapy services in order to change or develop innovative services,
  • to re-examine theory or the evidence base regarding the power of occupations and occupational therapy to bring about change for people with lifelong conditions,
  • to critique the effectiveness of  occupational therapy interventions,
  • or are planning to advance your career

then our wide range of masters level modules offered by the Faculty will be of interest to you.

All our Masters programmes are modular which means you undertake some core modules(with practitioners from other professions) and compulsory specific occupational therapy modules but also choose optional modules from an extensive menu which build towards a degree in advanced practice in Occupational Therapy. Enrolment can be over a period of six years. If you are employed locally you may be able to access funding. You can even enrol as an associate and do just one module.
