My profile:
I am a qualified occupational therapist graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University in 1997. I have since worked in forensic mental health, community mental health, oncology and acute mental health services before moving into education. I completed my MSc in Interprofessional Health and Social Care in 2009 including my research into the use of control and restraint and seclusion in psychiatric inpatient settings.
Research and Knowledge Exchange activities:
I am currently writing up my MSc research for publication and am jointly authoring a paper on practice analysis with two third year undergraduate students after supervising them through their placement in a local prison. I supervise MSc students through their research and currently have a student researching the occupations associated with dying after receiving a terminal diagnosis
