Jose joined the staff in 2008 having previously worked locally as a Physiotherapist in Health Care of the older person, with a particular interest in "Falls" and the rehabilitation of patients following fracture neck of femur. This necessitated working as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team which sees a very important aspect of modern health care. Jose was very involved with the Hospital Trust's NVQ Physiotherapy and Education at the University of Brighton, which included a small research project on the views of experience junior therapists on Continuing Professional Development and career progression.
Jose's main areas of interest are anatomy (especially the skeleton), ageing and falls prevention and study skills. She feels the experiences of years of clinical practice will be useful when discussing the work place envirornment with Radiography and Occupational Therapy students.
Away from work her interests include gardening, walking history and archaeology (especially bones!) and writing.
