My Profile
I am based at the Canterbury Campus of Canterbury Christ Church University and have been a full-time member of staff since 2003. My previous post was as an Advanced Practitioner in Medical Ultrasound. I worked for the NHS for 21 years and have a vast amount of expertise across various imaging modalities. My postgraduate role is as the Programme Director for the MSc Medical Imaging Programme. I am also a Senior lecturer on the BSc Diagnostic Radiography Pathway of the Interprofessional Learning Programme and the Link Tutor for Medway Maritime Hospital.
Teaching and Subject expertise:
The MSc Medical Imaging Programme has six different pathways including Medical Imaging, Medical Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, CT and Forensic Imaging. I am the lead for each of these pathways; however, my area of clinical expertise is Medical Ultrasound. I am a member of the Society and College of Radiographers and the British Medical Ultrasound Society. I am also a member of the Executive Committee of the Southeast Regional Committee, an accreditor for the Consortium of Sonographic Education and Chair of the Allied Health Professions Federation.
