My profile:
After a long and varied career in Sheffield, London and the Island City Sate of Singapore Chris is settled in Kent and teaching all aspects of Diagnostic Radiography Science and Technology, coordinating all radiation based teaching and research activities, and leading for the Faculty of Health and Social Care on Marketing and Recruitment activities
Away from his first profession he has an active interest in music, both teaching and performing in brass and voice with groups in the local community and occasional international engagements.
He has a smallholding deep in the Kent countryside making him nearly self sufficient in vegetables, fruit and the produce of the domestic duck.
Teaching and Subject expertise:
Chris' particular teaching interests are patient dosimetry and radiation protection and the difficulties of promoting these concepts in routine clinical practice, the eternal conflict of ethical and best practice with the expediency of an efficient service.
In recruitment and marketing he coordinates all activity for the BSc Diagnostic Radiography programme and has an oversight of activities and policy for the Faculty of Health and Social Care undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. He is a founder member of the College of Radiographers Admissions Tutors group who advise the College and Society of Radiographers on matters relating to recruitment and marketing.
