The Faculty of Health and Social Care brings together academic departments and research centres:

Allied Health Professions includes:
occupational therapy, diagnostic radiography, paramedic science, operating department practice, speech and language therapy, ophthalmic dispensing.
Health, Wellbeing and Family includes: midwifery, child nursing, practice-based play therapy, dance psychotherapy, health promotion and public health, mental health nursing, social work and learning disabilities
Nursing and Applied Clinical Studies includes:
adult nursing, community practice, independent and supplementary prescribing, health visiting and school nursing, interprofessional health and social care.

Centre for Health and Social Care Research offers applied, practice focused and policy research.
Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Music, Arts and Health - working with the Faculty of Arts and Humanities to research the contribution of music and arts in promoting wellbeing and health.
Research Centre for Children, Families and Communities - in partnership with the Faculty of Education to undertake social, cultural, health and education research on issues affecting children, families and communities.
England Centre for Practice Development - running successful masterclasses and other events for the development of transformational leaders delivering person-centred safe and effective compassionate care.
