Specialist Community Public Health Nurses are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and work with individuals and populations to promote good health. Registered Nurses or Midwives can undertake our UNICEF Baby Friendly accredited programme to become a Health Visitor or School Nurse. We also provide a range of additional modules and short courses to support the public health role of health care professionals and the early years workforce.

Since 2011 there has been a national drive to increase the number of Health Visitors employed in the Community in order to deliver an ambitious plan to enable all families with children under 5 to have access to support at this crucial time.
