Practice Learning is an integral component of Health and Wellbeing education and can account for up to 50% of a student’s programme in terms of time and award.
The quality of the learning experienced in practice plays a critical role in developing the workforce. Practice learning experiences are provided by a wide range of organisations that include the NHS, Social Care and Social Services, the private, independent and voluntary sector. All placement experiences are quality assured through approved processes.
The PLU (Practice Learning Unit) provides administrative and academic support for practice learning delivered by the Faculty. This includes the following pathways:
