We care about your wellbeing now more than ever. Coming to university is likely to bring a number of changes to your life. It can be really enjoyable and inspiring, but it can also be challenging. We're here to support you as you begin your university journey.

As well as lots of specialist support and services, we've got loads of wellbeing and community activities, from sport and puppy therapy to campus allotments, choirs and crafting.

Support for your wellbeing

During university, it's natural to experience both highs and lows. If at any time while with us, you feel stressed, anxious, lonely or low, our Mental Wellbeing Team can offer you confidential advice and support including counselling.

The support I got from the Mental Wellbeing Team has meant that I am now able to manage my anxiety much better and my grades are improving. I feel I have learnt coping skills that will benefit me for the rest of my life.

Out of hours support

Out of hours there's Spectrum Life, an online support service. Whether it's speaking to other students or a counsellor, there will always be someone to talk to.

Wellbeing and community activities

Sometimes it can be just good to talk and if you ever just need to chat there are plenty of opportunities, including our Chaplaincy who offer a confidential listening service. The uni offers lots of activities to support your mental and physical wellbeing.

For those who want a bit of help looking after their physical wellbeing, Christ Church Sport and Active Health is here to help. Our individually tailored StudyFit programme uses physical activity to enhance mental, as well as physical, wellbeing. Where the rules allow, we have used public spaces to provide free fitness classes via OurParks.

Awareness days and events

Throughout the year we support a range of events and campaigns, including World Mental Health Day, Movember, Time To Talk and University Mental Health Day.
