How do I request a change to my placement?
Answer:

Once placements have been posted on PEMS, changes will only be made in extenuating circumstances and with the consent of the practice lead. A request made to the practice lead will be considered based on individual circumstances and any changes are subject to placement capacity.

If you have circumstances you would like considered, please download and complete a PIR2 form.

This form can be found on your course Practice Learning Blackboard under Module Information/Forms (not the Practice Learning Unit Blackboard)

You must work the usual shift pattern of the area you are allocated to and cannot negotiate alternative shifts with placement areas. If you have an extenuating circumstance that you think will impact on your ability to work the usual shifts please download and complete a PIR3 form.

If students have been identified as needing adjustments during placement, a Professional Placement Learning Support Plan will be developed in conjunction with Student Support.
