How do I claim back Practice Placement expenses?

Question:
How do I claim back Practice Placement expenses?
Answer:

You can claim for Practice Placement expenses if they cost more than your usual daily travel costs to/from university.

Health students can submit weekly, monthly or at the end of their placement.

NHS Bursaries reimburse students directly. Claims can take up to 6 weeks to be paid.

Student’s must first register for a Learning Support Fund (LSF) account via the NHS Bursaries website.

Once registered, log in and select Travel and Dual Accommodation Expenses from the main screen. This will allow you to download the claim form.  The form should then be completed and emailed to the Practice Learning team at plu@canterbury.ac.ukfor processing. All receipts for accommodation, car parking, bus, train, tolls and other means of transport must be submitted with your claim.

You have 9 months to submit claims.

More information can be found on The Practice Learning Unit webpage here or  NHS Learning Support Fund website.
