Thanet Earth is the UK’s largest, most high-tech greenhouse complex, growing tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers.
Robert has worked at Thanet Earth Marketing since the commencement of the project in 2008. Now Technical Manager, he heads up all the technological functions for the business. He will be explaining the concept and processes behind Britain’s greenest and largest greenhouse.
Biography
Originally a Kent farmer, Robert has spent 18 years working in the fresh produce industry in a variety of roles. Prior to joining Thanet Earth, Robert held a commercial role with another business in the Fresca Group of companies. Fresca is one of the partners in the Thanet Earth project and is the largest independent supplier of fresh produce to the UK market.
