Faculty of Arts and Humanities Annual Conference: Rebels, Rioters, Revolutionaries

Third Annual Interdisciplinary Conference hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

Colleagues from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities gather this year to deliver papers on the theme of subversiveness. They will explore a variety of subjects, including the staging of rebellion in Shakespearean drama and modern cinema, the revolutionary work of Antonin Artaud, the Anglo-American ‘special relationship’ during the Cold War and strategies of resistance in migrant literature and medieval history.

Conference proceedings will be opened by Karen Eslea, Head of Learning at the Turner Contemporary and co-curator of ‘Nothing in the World But Youth’, and by Esther Johnson, Filmmaker, Photographer and Senior Lecturer in Media at Sheffield Hallam University.

Registration to the conference is free. For catering purposes, please confirm your attendance by Friday 25 May.
