The Student Associate Scheme has 14 Core Goals. These are explained in full in a document on the Training & Development Agency (TDA) website. Click here to download the document|.
Refer to this as you work through the scheme, and especially in school. We will also cover the Core Goals in taught sessions.
The scheme is closely related to the Standards for QTS which you can download as a word document|.
During the scheme you can match your achievements to QTS standards by organising the portfolio you keep against the standards and summarising these achievements in a Training Entry Profile (TEP). This is a downloadable document that enables all applicants to teacher education to record their experiences and achievements that relate to teaching and can be found here|.
The University taught sessions will be delivered by Michael Green, Director of the Student Associate Scheme at Canterbury Christ Church University.
