The Personalised Learning website is part of the DfES Standards Site. Assessment for Learning (AfL) is one of the five components of Personalised Learning. It means using evidence and dialogue to identify where pupils are in their learning, where they need to go and how best to get there.

KS3 AfL - Whole-school and subject specific training materials
DfES Standards Site - Key Stage 3 Strategy AfL training materials. This assessment for learning (AfL) training has been developed as part of the Strategy's support for whole-school improvement. The folder builds upon existing Key Stage 3 Strategy training materials and subject development materials. The AfL training provides materials to help teachers refocus on some of the more challenging areas of AfL.
