Professional Attributes
Standards within the professional attributes section are concerned with the relationship that forms between teachers and pupils and the way in which this relationship affects achievement. Effective communication and high expectations can raise development, wellbeing and attainment.
This communication also extends to others; parents, carers and colleagues, and provides further opportunities for both the students and the teacher, through reflection and improvement in personal professional development. Teachers should understand the national professional values and duties, and help to take collective responsibility for the implementation of these, and of school policies.
