Education, the law and you Teachers work within a legal framework which gives rights to and places duties on those within the education service. It is also a requirement of the DfES that primary and secondary teachers assessed for Qualified Teacher Status “are aware of, and work within, the statutory framework relating to teachers’ responsibilities.”
