Partnerships with Schools
The Faculty of Education has been awarded consistently high grades from Ofsted and it is recognised as a 'Category A Provider' by the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA).
We recognise the importance of the link between research and teaching and between Initial Teacher Education (ITE) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
We have a proven track record of delivering high quality initial teacher education courses including Undergraduate Primary (QTS), Postgraduate Primary, 7-14, 11-18, 14-19 (PGCE programmes) and the delivery of the highly successful Teach First Programme. We are also the largest provider of the Graduate Registered Teacher Programmes (GRTP) in the UK.
The Faculty has excellent partnerships with Local Authorities (LAs) and we have well-established partnership agreements.
