Our Partners
The Faculty of Education is on a journey through an ever-changing landscape. Our worldwide partners are seeking our knowledge, understanding, skills and leadership to transform education.
Reshaping the landscape and creating new paths is challenging and exciting for a learning community. Established and new partners expect more: shared values; increased collaboration; effectiveness and efficiency; high quality standards; increased knowledge and understanding.
We are strengthening our position in the international market. Our strategy is to extend our partnerships both in content and in range. We therefore welcome new partnerships with public and private sector organisations.
Professional Development Partners
Institutions providing education professional research, teaching and consultancy organise their work collaboratively in partnership with schools, local work environments, work-based training providers and other stakeholders. Our education partnerships have an emphasis on practical skills and have an academic and scientific basis, providing professionals with the competence and confidence to reflect on their own and others' practice.
Our local and regional professional development partnerships have grown over many years. Our collective knowledge has enabled us to transfer this knowledge to other regions within the UK and beyond.
Teaching Partners
Lifelong learning is formal, non-formal and informal. It includes education, training, retraining and updating in schools, colleges, and in public and private settings.
-
The strength of our expertise and the skills and talents of the people with whom we work have enabled us to demonstrate that the Faculty of Education at Canterbury Christ Church University is truly a lifelong partner. We value the contributions our teaching partners have made and continue to make to our collective success.
Knowledge Transfer Partners
High quality education and social welfare systems require that all professionals are graduates from higher education institutions. Every professional should have the opportunity to continue their studies to the highest level in order to develop their professional competences and to increase their opportunities for career and personal development.
-
Our Knowledge Transfer partnerships are recognised widely and our involvement in creating 'opportunities for all' within the public and private sectors has given us the opportunity to demonstrate the expertise we bring to the knowledge transfer landscape generally.
Research Partners
Mobility is a central component of initial and continuing education programmes, research and consultancy. Professionals are encouraged to participate in projects and spend time working or studying in other countries.
-
Research and scholarship is at the heart of everything we do and, as our knowledge and understanding grows, we are able to consolidate our position and develop new, challenging Research Partnership opportunities. We value our engagement in research. Our effective use of research
Enterprise Partners
Education is multi-disciplinary: extensive knowledge, pedagogy, skills and competences are required to increase an understanding of the social and cultural dimension of the transformative nature of education in global communities.
-
Our Enterprise Partners exemplify our interpersonal relationships and demonstrate our commitment to building a better future together with private sector organisations. Our relationships are based on mutual respect for the knowledge, skills and understanding that we bring to the partnerships, for we know that 'together we will make a difference'.
