A professional development opportunity within your own educational setting to develop Gifted and Talented education.
Overview
The South East Gifted and Talented Partnership is committed to the continuing development of gifted and talented teaching and learning.
The South East Gifted and Talented Regional Partnership is therefore offering teachers the opportunity to carry out school or classroom based studies within their own educational setting by providing financial support. The overall aim of the studies undertaken need to focus on the improvement of Gifted and Talented education.
All serving classroom teachers in all schools in the South-East of England are eligible. It is hoped that a short formal paper will be presented at the end of the study for dissemination to schools and teachers illustrating the outcomes. There is also the opportunity to gain Master Level accreditation (20 M Level credits) for the studies and support, both academic and financial, will be available.
If you are interested in applying please fill in the application form, or for further information contact Alun Davies.|
NQT Portfolio Example from Kathryn Bousfield
All NQTs have the opportunity to take part in an accreditation scheme at Canterbury Christ Church University during their NQT year, thereby helping them to meet the induction standards. Kathryn Wright (nee Bousfield) has agreed to sections of her portfolio being shared with colleagues. These sections particularly highlight how this scheme has enabled Kathryn to further develop her knowledge and understanding of gifted and talented education. The Partnership would like to thank Kathryn for allowing us to use her research
