Salary and Training Grant GTP

Currently we offer the following subject pathways and have funding for a set number of priority and non-priority trainees. We are waiting for the Government to confirm allocations for September 2012, we anticipate we will receive allocations in February 2012.

Training Grant Only GTP

Currently we offer, for secondary teachers only, a pathway which supports experienced but unqualified teachers gaining QTS.

Shortage Subjects

  • Information Communication Technology - ICT
  • Mathematics
  • Modern Foreign Languages - MFL
  • Music
  • Religious Education - RE
  • Science

Non Shortage Subjects

  • Art
  • Business Studies
  • Citizenship
  • English
  • Geography
  • History
  • Physical Education -PE
  • Leisure and Tourism*
  • Health and Social Care*
  • Psychology*

*Please note, trainees MUST be able to teach this subject in both KS4 and KS5 in their training school to be eligible for the Programme.
