The upcoming Education Faculty Staff Conference on 4th February 2010 is one of our six scholarship days - a rare opportunity for the whole Faculty to interact. This conference is relevant and important to us all. In recognition of our already successful research profile, the theme is 'Researching with Each Other' and will be led by Viv Griffiths, Linden West and Liz Hoult and will introduce some key themes for our research.
The aim is to explore together ways of building our Faculty research community through our new Faculty Research Strategy . Our keynote speaker is Professor Jean Murray, http://www.uel.ac.uk/education/staff/jeanmurray.htm |who will be discussing her recent experiences in developing research capacity. The afternoon is perhaps the most important part of the day as, with the newly appointed Research Theme Leaders, it is a chance for us to shape the new research themes, which are a chance for colleagues with similar research interests to work together.
There will also be time for us to explore the implications within our departments and programmes .This is your chance to help shape the future of research in our Faculty so we ask you all please to prioritise the day.
