COURSE - Writing course: Teaching grammar through shared writing

Wednesday 22 June, 9:30am – 3:30pm | North Holmes Road Campus | £75

This course will enable teachers to reflect on and share current practice and consider how shared writing approaches can be developed and extended for use with children to enhance all aspects of their writing. With the current emphasis on children’s knowledge and use of a range of grammatical constructions in their writing, teachers need a repertoire of pedagogical approaches which they can use. Shared writing – joint composition of texts – is a valuable way in which children can be taught how grammar works through a contextualised approach.
