The Centre for Enabling Learning (CEL) based at the Hall Place Campus is built on a long reputation as a national centre of excellence in teaching, research and innovative practice.
It's key aims are to support learners who may be disadvantaged through disability or health or who have other additional educational needs and in developing inclusive social and educational strategies and learning environments.
The centre makes use of the most up to date methods in learning including flexible learning choices, ICT based materials, projects focused on the learner’s professional practices and work environment, individual tutorial support and a range of e-learning facilities. To achieve positive impact on professional development and meet national standards, the centre enjoys working partnerships with schools and other institutions or centres, government and national agencies and with regional groupings across education, health and social services.
