About the programme

The Teach First Leadership Development Programme lasts for two years. During the first year 'participants' work towards gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). This Initial Teacher Training Programme is employment based, and provided by partner institutions across the geographical regions. Canterbury Christ Church University is one of the training providers for participants based in schools within the London region. Having gained their teaching qualifications, participants continue their placements in the second year, and receive a structured programme of leadership training designed to prepare them for senior positions whether in education, politics or business.

Applications for the Teach First Leadership Development Programme (incorporating the Initial Teacher Training Programme) are made online, directly to Teach First.
