Introduction
Entrepreneurship is a driving force in the modern, globalised economy. It can be studied in conjunction with either Business Studies or Marketing or other programmes within the Joint/Combined Honours Scheme. Students are encouraged at level three to undertake a practical project or develop their business idea further in order to demonstrate that they can apply theoretical concepts to real business problems.
Content and Structure
LEVEL 1
The first level of the degree is in common with other students on the Business and Marketing Framework and provides grounding in the principles of finance, business management, IT and marketing.
LEVEL 2
Students taking Entrepreneurship with Business Studies study Entrepreneurship and Innovation and New Business Planning plus Management and Leadership as core modules. Students also have a choice of option modules taken from the Business Framework.
Students taking Entrepreneurship with Marketing study Entrepreneurship and Innovation and New Business Planning, plus Consumer Behaviour as core modules. Students also have a choice of option modules taken from the Business Framework.
LEVEL 3
Students taking Entrepreneurship with Business Studies study Entrepreneurship in the Global Marketplace and may undertake an Individual Study project plus Strategic Management as core modules. Students also have a choice of option modules taken from the Business Framework.
Students taking Entrepreneurship with Marketing study Entrepreneurship in the Global Marketplace and may undertake an Individual Study project plus Marketing Planning and Markops online as core modules. Students also have a choice of option modules taken from the Business Framework.

Methods of Assessment
A wide variety of assessment methods are employed to develop both academic and professional skills. The overall emphasis within the programme is on coursework assessment. This will involve the use of essays, reports, presentations, computer based projects, and case studies.
Important Information
Applications for this programme are made through UCAS, see the UCAS codes page. The entry requirements for Entrepreneurship in combination with Business Studies or Marketing are CCC at A2 Level, or an equivalent qualification. Entry requirements for Entrepreneurship in combination with another subject are 200 UCAS points or an equivalent qualification. There are no specific subjects required to take Entrepreneurship.
