Content and Structure
All our students have a similar aspiration in terms of being effective in a changing international context, and have often come from a wide variety of country and organisational backgrounds. This provides excellent diversity and learning opportunities during the course - boosted by the mix of business and academic experience of our lecturers.
In particular, we place particular emphasis during the course on:
- pragmatic application in the real world
- interactive sessions and peer-learning
- use of our virtual learning environment to aid learning
- applicability across both public and private sectors
There are eight taught modules and a major management project. Students complete six core modules:
- Issues in International Management
- Management in Financial Markets
- Strategic Management
- Strategic Marketing Development
- Business Simulation
- Research Methods
… and then two additional modules selected from the following:
- Business Ethics
- Enterprise, Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- Human Resource Management and Development
- Project Management
Students complete the programme by undertaking a substantial Management Project in a topic of their choice. Each student will be allocated a personal supervisor for this.
Module Assessment
Assessments will take a number of forms including reports, group and individual presentations, case studies and a personal journal.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should have a good honours degree and have recent management experience of at least 2 years where they have had team and budget responsibilities.
