Initial Primary School Visit

 After you have made the initial contact with a school/s, and agreed your observation experience, then arrange to send the letter marked for Head Teachers below.

Remember you might need to visit more than one school in order to see all the Key Stages.

You are expected to complete your Independent Study Booklet during your time in school.  Please make sure that you discuss with your class teacher what is involved in the pack.  This completed pack should be brought into University to form the basis of seminar discussions during the first part of the programme.  Please be aware that the content of the Independent Study Booklet is currently being reviewed and is subject to change.  We, therefore, strongly advise that you DO NOT print this off until just before your observation experience in school, by which time it may be in a different form.

The Observation report form should be given to the Head Teacher for completion when you have finished your experience/s.  This report form will be your confirmation of attendance and should outline the experience you have gained during your experience/s.  You will be asked to hand your report/s to your Group Tutor during your first week in University.
