Research: Accounting and Finance
Our research in accounting and finance encompasses several themes, with a particular focus on empirical and quantitative research. We maintain close links and work with both academics and practitioners in the UK and abroad. Most of our researchers also have professional experience in investment banking and financial trading.
Individual staff research activities cover a variety of areas in corporate finance, behavioural finance and financial markets, including mergers and acquisitions, capital structure decision, investment strategies, the role of accounting information, feedback trading, financial market interdependence, and foreign exchange markets.
We welcome applications for PhDs in the areas of accounting and finance research, and particularly from individuals with commitment to publishing in peer-reviewed international journals.
