Introduction
The Masters Pre-Sessional programme is a full-time programme of study lasting 10 weeks. It is ideal for students who want to prepare for entry to the Masters programmes offered by The Business School or who want to take an advanced level specialised English and Business programme.
Students who successfully complete the programme will be considered to have met the language requirements of the University and will be offered a place on one of the following Masters degrees:

MSc Human Resource Management

MSc Marketing

MSc Managerial Finance (for suitably qualified candidates)

Programme Details
The programme is designed to help you to develop the language, academic and personal skills necessary to succeed in the advanced study of business and management in a British University. Experienced staff from the Business School will deliver a series of Business modules that supplement the University's English Language and Study Skills programmes. These modules are designed to enable you to develop skills of analysis, critical thinking, problem solving and spoken and written presentation. The modules are:

The Global Business Manager

Financial Analysis

Marketing and Customer Relations
The programme will require 35 hours a week study time, including an average of 21 hours a week formal class contact.
Methods of Teaching and Learning
This is an interactive, activity-based programme designed to help you develop your confidence and abilities. Through a variety of teaching and learning techniques, such as group and syndicate work, business simulations, visits, lectures, discussions and e-learning, students develop practical business skills as well as skills of personal presentation, research and analysis.
Student Support
All students have a personal tutor who will arrange regular meetings and offer academic and personal support. In addition, the University provides a wide range of student support facilities.
Entry Requirements
A good honours degree in any subject. English Language requirements are IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. To discuss your suitability, please contact the International Office.
