Biography
Paulette has a BA (Hons) in International Marketing, a PGCE (FEd) and an MSc in Business Administration. Her background includes experience in Public Sector Costing (City of London), Private Sector Management Accounting for Manufacturing, Television Programme Sales and Accounting (BBC Enterprises, now Worldwide), where she was responsible for up to 35 members of staff, Financial Broking Accounting (Tullett and Tokyo Forex and Futures- UK and Germany)
She moved into education in 1995 and worked initially in the Further Education sector teaching Basic Information Technology, Finance and Accounting.
Paulette joined Canterbury Christ Church in 1997 as a sessional lecturer, became a full member of staff in 1998 and a Principal Lecturer in 2003.
She greatly really enjoys teaching/facilitating level 1 Undergraduates and is engaged with a small number of local SMEs at any one time. Currently she is working with a local SME on a knowledge exchange basis.
She is a member of the Higher Education Academy and is currently an external examiner for the University of East London.
Teaching and Academic Interests
Paulette teaches Marketing Communications, Marketing Research and Marketing Analysis
Her research interests are on Models of Student Learning, particularly related to widening participation and employability issues.
