Biography
David has an MSc in Behavioural Science and an MBA.
As an audits and surveys consultant at The Industrial Society, David conducted employee opinion surveys, communications audits and investigated workplace behavioural issues such as discrimination, harassment and bullying for both public and private sector organisations. He has appeared on Radio London in a specialist capacity, advising on 'work practices for the nation's bosses'. His client list includes Shell, ICI, Chase/JPMorgan, SOS International, The Church of England, Citizens Advice, plus various government departments, agencies and local councils. David is a member of the Institute of Business Ethics, the British Academy of Management and an Associate of Canterbury Christ Church University.
His role at Canterbury Christ Church includes being Programme Director for the BA (Hons) International Business Management Programme and the Business School Erasmus Co-ordinator. He is a regular visiting lecturer at ISCID, Université du Littoral, France and has lectured in Cross-Cultural Management and International Ethics under the Erasmus scheme at the Hogeschool INHOLLAND University, Amsterdam and the Faculta Di Economia Universita Degli Studi Di Torino, Italy.
David is a Fellow of the Higher Eduaction Academy.
Teaching and Academic Interests
David lectures in the areas of Business Ethics, Cross-Cultural Management and Organisational Behaviour.
His current research interest is on ethical and unethical practices in the workplace. Previous studies have included the quality of working life, employee motivation and satisfaction. This incorporated measurement of mental performance, mood and stress during extended working hours, mapping physiological measurements of stress indicators with psychological self-reports.

Turning Refugees into Employees. This report was commissioned by Fair Play London to investigate the barriers to employment faced by women refugees in London. The difficulties encountered in conducting this type of social research are discussed, together with the range of issues faced by women from minority ethnic groups.
