Biography
Connie has an MBA, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and is a Chartered Marketer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
She has experience of managing Human Resources at board level in a range of international companies.
For 10 year Connie operated her own consultancy and held a range of contracts with companies in a variety of industries, including: Saga Group , Kent & Sussex Clothing Industries, Hornby Hobbies plc, Rexam International, Allseas International Ship Management, Novasam France.
In 1998 she joined the staff of the Business School, having previously taught on CIPD, DMS, CMS and Higher Education courses.
Teaching and Academic Interests
Connie lectures in both Human Resources and Marketing courses.
She has taught a variety of Marketing and HRM courses: International Marketing, Marketing Management & Planning, Consumer Buyer Behaviour, Marketing Principles & Practice; HRM, HRD, Employee Resourcing, and Managing People. She has also taught general management courses: Managing Change, Managing Organisations.
Her research interests include: Economic Migrants, Employee Relations in a Small Firm and Ethnicity in Advertising
