Biography
Bob has a BSc in Engineering, a postgraduate diploma in Management Studies and an MBA. He has a background in engineering, publishing and management development. He worked for a number of years as an Industrial Engineer improving process efficiencies before moving into management training in a blue chip company. In this role he developed in-house programmes which gained accreditation from a national awarding body.
He then moved into the education sector as Senior Lecturer teaching on college based programmes (HND to post graduate levels) and developing and running programmes for client organisations.
As a development consultant with a major publishing company he project managed the commissioning, editing and testing of a range of management training resources (paper based and on-line).
In 2002 Bob was appointed senior lecturer in the Business School, where he has taught on a range of graduate and post graduate programmes, focusing on operations, project management and information management.
From 1997 onwards he has been an External Verifier for the Institute for Leadership and Management, helping to ensure regional standards are maintained for programmes ranging from Team Leader to Senior Manager.
Teaching and Academic Interests
Bob teaches Project Management, Operations Management, Managing Information and Graduate Skills.
