What Salomons can do for you

At Salomons we are committed to transferring capability to our clients, especially in areas such as recruitment, selection and assessment.  Some selection processes necessarily require external support – as a guarantee of objectivity and neutrality.  However, in the long-term it may serve the organisation best to build up its internal capability and capacity in both designing and running its own assessment processes.

It is critical that we start by understanding your requirements.  We then work with you to come up with an approach that best fits the needs of your organisation – both short-term and long-term.  If it is required, we can take on responsibility for the whole process – from design of the assessment centre to running it and providing feedback to candidates.  However, we can also provide tailored support to you in developing your internal capability. We can help in the following areas:

  • Identifying what needs to be assessed (i.e., for a particular role or roles), both in terms of what the job is required to deliver and how (also see developing competency frameworks).
  • Designing the elements in the assessment centre or sourcing 'off the shelf' solutions, including advice on the use of psychometrics.
  • Training members of your team in how to conduct "behavioural event" or "competency-based" interviews.
  • Running Assessment Centres – including preparation and briefing beforehand, organisation on the day, and collating the outputs.
  • Training staff to become qualified assessors for assessment  activities
  • Preparing the feedback reports for input to the selection decision-making process.
  • Providing feedback to candidates.
