Staff research
The historians at Canterbury Christ Church University consider themselves to be more than first class in the teaching of their subject. They are also vigorously involved in the processes of accumulating and analysing historical knowledge. Research activity amongst historians in the department tends to reflect the tripartite division of the undergraduate teaching programme into medieval, early modern and modern courses with clusters of research in these areas underlining the strongly held view that research positively informs teaching. All the historians are research-active and usually working on individual projects shaped by their particular interests.
