Richard Cullen is Head of Department at Canterbury Christ Church University for the Department of English and Language Studies.
Richard started teaching English in Nepal in 1974, and since then, he has taught English, trained teachers, and worked on various teacher education and curriculum development projects in Greece , Egypt , Bangladesh and Tanzania . He has been with the Department of English and Language Studies since 1996, and had published widely in the fields of teacher education, classroom interaction and grammar teaching. He supervises a number of PhD students in these areas.
He is a member of the International Association of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) and has served on the editorial advisory panel of the English Language Teaching Journal. He is an external assessor on the Cambridge DELTA scheme.
