Pam has trained and educated teachers in Britain, Italy and New Zealand. She has worked as a Director of Studies in the private sector. She was responsible for the development of the Cambridge ESOL CELTA programme in the Department and has worked internationally as a Cambridge Assessor for this scheme. She teaches and supervises students on the Diploma/MA TESOL and on the Certificate In English programme for secondary teachers in Bahrain and Jordan.
One particular interest is the development of ELT in the primary sector and she contributes to the delivery of Young Learner programmes. Her other interests include teacher education and the challenges facing English language teachers in a globalising world. She is currently involved in PhD research on the latter.
