I have taught on the French BA programme at Christ Church since 2005. I am responsible for the teaching of translation, cinema, contemporary French literature, and francophone literature and history.
My doctoral research was devoted to the writer and critic Maurice Blanchot (1907-2003). My research interests are still in the field of contemporary and twentieth-century French literature and literary theory. For the last five years I have been particularly interested in the contemporary writer Richard Millet. I have written about his work and translated two of his novels.
