We invite papers which address 'cutting edge' thinking and research in the following areas broadly related to the conference theme:

The interface between autonomy and community in learning and teaching

Defining and developing autonomy in learners and teachers

Community perspectives on learning, learning and training

Learning communities and professional communities
Papers will be 20 minutes plus ten minutes for discussion.

Further details about conference fees and accommodation (available on campus) will be forthcoming but every attempt will be made to keep costs at a reasonable level.

We hope to create an atmosphere of stimulating discussion and debate in a convivial, intellectual environment – a summer weekend of challenging talk in the historic city of Canterbury with easy access to both London and Europe!
