The MA/Diploma/Certificate TEAL (Teaching English as an Additional Language) is designed for practising education professionals working with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and bilingual pupils who wish to and develop their knowledge and understanding.

This is a taught programme which is designed for practitioners working full-time and is offered on a part-time basis over two academic years.
The structure of the programme ensures that it addresses a broad and balanced range of knowledge, understanding and skills, with an essential element of critical engagement. The programme is designed so that the first year establishes a foundation for more in-depth and critical in-depth work in the second year. Throughout the programme course participants are encouraged to draw on and apply topics to their own teaching and learning contexts.
