Introduction

This is a unique opportunity for students to gain two degrees within a conventional three-year time duration. The programme offers two years of study at Canterbury Christ Church University and one year in Lille, France at l' Université Catholique de Lille|. The two degree awards, following three years of study, will offer students unparalleled opportunities in employment and study for higher degrees. Facility with language will be important throughout the programme, thus, Canterbury students will normally be expected to possess at least an AS-level in French at no less than grade B. Consideration will be given to students who are otherwise academically well qualified and have a working competence with the French language. The programme welcomes applications from students whose intellectual and personal aptitude are sufficiently developed to enable full-time studentship across a double-degree programme. The course in France will be taught in English and students will be taught and nurtured towards achieving high-order and transferable skills in English and French language and English Literature.
