Katrina Maclean studied Fine Art (sculpture) at Watford College of Art and Canterbury College of Art in the early 1980s. With subsequent, diverse careers as a chef, technician and running a business in floor stencilling and repair, she returned to Fine Art studies, completing a degree in Sculpture/Social Science and an MA in Fine Art at Canterbury Christ Church University College.

Narrative

Having taught in secondary schools and on Foundation courses in Art and Design (Ashford and Dover), Katrina was appointed as a lecturer/course co-ordinator in 2002 and as Departmental Administrator in 2004. She continues to work as a sculptor/printmaker, researching, through both artistic and academic enquiry, the cathedral in contemporary society as a symbol, image and subject.
