St Gregory’s Centre

St Gregory's Centre for Music

This beautiful, 19th century building was transformed in 2012 to create an international centre for music education and performance.

Situated just across the road from our Canterbury Campus, St Gregory’s seats 150, and has been designed to enhance the experience of both the audience and the performer.

The music venue attracts international performers to the region and aims to make high-quality music performance accessible in the South East. Hosting around 100 concerts a year, the busy music calendar includes regular free lunchtime concerts, evening performances and special events, all of which are open to the public.

Our talented students regularly perform here, and the University’s longstanding relationships with artists of international standing including Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, the Maggini Quartet and John Harle, provide exciting opportunities to see world class acts within a City Centre venue, while enabling our students to gain unique insight into professional artistic practice.
