In various forms of depth psychotherapy, the symbol is understood to be a product of the unconscious mind, both collective and personal; a type of language that when interpreted reveals certain psychological conditions of the individual. This presentation will be an exploration of the use of the symbol in psychology, magic, art and astrology.
